Wendy's Review

Wow, Hidden starts out with adventure and it continues in the entire book. Abby has a way of writing that has you consuming all the words at a rapid pace so that you can get to the next phase of the story.

Even though I haven't read the first two stories I had no trouble in reading and understanding what was happening with Alana, Gabe and Rafe's life.

Alana was rescued by her brother, but to protect her he had to hide her chained in a cabin in a remote location. As the difficulties began to develop he had to call in two of his partners, Gabe and Rafe to rescue her from the cabin and keep her safe.

Gabe and Rafe were twins with telepathic abilities but what amazed them is that Alana had no trouble following their quiet conversations of the mind.

Keeping Alana safe was their first priority for their friend, but soon they realized that Alana was for them and that her safety was first and foremost for them.

This story keeps you wanting to reach in and help a woman whose life has been torn apart. With love of two men and a family that she didn't realize she had Alana learns that even through the loneliness of the last six years she could be loved without strings attached.

Hunter's Review

I really enjoyed this story. Ms. Pierce does a wonderful job of making interesting, well-defined characters admist this hot futuristic romance that has plenty of sex for the reader that likes erotic works.

The book starts out with a sexy high note and does not let go until the end. It isn’t a long tale and I found I was transfixed to my e-reader wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Don’t miss this one.

Clare C’s Review

Bad Lands is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth. The landscape is a barren wasteland full of unscrupulous people. Tegan is a woman traveling with a man who saved her from becoming a sex slave. She loves him, but he doesn’t see it. It’s a promising premise for a story.

I think the author tried to cram an epic adventure into less than 100 pages. Several times, things happened without any kind of buildup or warning. Coincidences and assumptions that had no basis in logic appeared regularly. For example, a villain suddenly turned good, but we don’t know that until we see her being tortured. If she’s going to try to set the heroine free, then I want to read that scene. I want to know what happened and why.

Also, I never knew whose point of view the scene was supposed to be in. Sometimes, we jumped from one character’s point of view to another’s mid-sentence.

I didn’t care for Tegan, and I didn’t see why she wanted Quincy other than the fact she was horny and he saved her from a horrible fate. The fact that both had sex with multiple other people, even after they decided they loved one another, bothered me.

The ending puzzled me because the story seemed to suddenly become a ménage, but not really, and the setting suddenly turns into the Garden of Eden, complete with the ‘special child’ in Tegan’s womb. Perhaps I would have been able to believe it if the author had slowed down or if she had only chosen a slice of the story to tell?

The sparks fly and the hot sex prevails. I loved the emotion and romance spattered through the lusty scenes. This is a must read!

Hunter’s Review

I can’t remember ever really having this problem with a book before. I have absolutely no clue, really, what went on in this book. Half of it seemed to be in a foreign language. I think the real problem here is that it is so deeply reliant on the first book—which I had not read—that it is nearly impossible to read by itself.

The love scenes are hot, as I would expect from Siren—they do love scenes fantastically well. But, I won’t attempt this again.

Clare C's Review

Technically, the writing was very good. The premise of the novel, hot alien guys who protect a human woman, captured my interest from the first. It started with a bang. John is forced to kidnap Tara to keep her safe. She doesn’t understand why this neighbor she barely knows has suddenly made her the center of his paranoid delusion, and she fights him the whole way.

Like Tara, the reader is kept in the dark about the alien conspiracy until almost the very end. For more than half the story, she’s a captive who doesn’t know why her neighbor kidnapped her, and neither does the reader. I found that very frustrating. Even in the parts told from John and Alec’s points of view, we don’t find out anything useful. Alec, who is locked in the protected cell with Tara, doesn’t speak enough English to communicate beyond the very basic. If I hadn’t been reading this to review it, I would not have stuck with the story, and I would have missed out on a dynamite ending.

Toward the end, once you know what’s going on, the pace really picks up. Tara falls in love with Alec and John, who have been a couple for many years, and they create a triad. The erotic scenes are hot and sweet. Ms. Clark sets things up for a series featuring alien males who save human women. As long as the reader is let in on what’s happening and why a little sooner, I can see this being a really cool series.

Elise is a Sybar woman that has just bought a ranch due to a reoccurring dream and decides to leave her home in Chicago to come to a small town in South Dakota. Elise gives into this new life without hesitation without an ounce of double thinking about what her new life will bring her. She puts all of her fate in three men that she just met and has no doubts at all. She is not even angry with Carter with the illusion of her dreams and the ranch she just bought. There should have been more resistance in her part, angry because of her mind being probed without her knowledge. Sure eventually Elise would have seen that she was destined to be with them and them with her.

The Kennedy brothers, Carter, Aaron and Brady, are Sybar men that have been looking that that special Sybar woman and finally they have found her. The time has come to finally meet Elise but will she be able to with stand their jealousy. Carter being the oldest has his own plans about her but the other two brothers will not give in to his obnoxious feelings. After living their lives always sharing everything why change now. The way that Carter and his brothers handled telling Elise about her being special and how they were meant to be together was something else. Carter is such a jerk because he does not care about anyone else but himself and his own feelings of how he feels for Elise. He really lays it out on her not even trying to see if she truly comprehends her true self, then not only that but then basically over takes over the whole situation. He goes straight into making love to her and automatically telling her his true feelings for her and not caring about how his brothers feel. Carter needs to remember that he is not the only one in this relationship and if he is not careful he could lose everything, not only Elise but his brothers. I am glad that Aaron and Brady will not give up and stand up to Carter and try to make him understand where they are coming and how this can tear them apart. That is not the only problem but one of the other brothers is in danger and may not recover.

This story is fast paced and everything happens so quickly that it is a little hard to understand the true chemistry between them. You know that they will be together and live happily ever after but there could have been a little more resistance from Elise and her feelings of how she felt for how she came to the small town of South Dakota. Other than that it was a good story and they did make a wonderful family. I recommend you to read this story and enjoy their passion towards one another and get lost in their world.

Set somewhere in Latin America, we are never told where exactly, a black cat seeks his mate. Poor weather forces Tori to take shelter in a shephard’s cabin. and Tyson only knows that his mate is nearby and he must find her. When Tyson reaches the shelter and assumes human form he is so clearly drugged and confused that Tori doesn’t believe that she can truly be his mate.

She is tempted by his touch, but she believes that she is stealing something that belongs to another woman, and taking advantage of a man who is not meant for her.
Tyson is acting on pure instinct. Someone has drugged him, he has no idea why but all his protective instincts are on the alert..

Tyson reasons, that perhaps if he keeps telling her how important she is to him; she will finally believe him because she completes him.

It isn’t the effects of his drugs in his system, that is making him mad with desire, but Tori’s mere presence. He has made the effort to hide his tracks from his pursuers so that he does not lead them to his mate, but if she doesn’t accept him, how can he take her back to his village? And how safe is it when he has no idea how he was drugged and by whom?

This is a well written shifter romance, which I found thoroughly engrossing..

Hunter's Review

I loved this book. I had not read Galaxy Tryst and Galaxy Fever, both of which I will be reading shortly, I hope. But I fell in love with this book—everything about it—from the opening paragraph.

Written in First Person, this is the tail of Tamsin, on vacation from her cold, dreary space station. She resides on a cruise ship and spots a Vampire—Darian—her first day on the beach. She is pale, eating too much, feeling chubby in her bathing suit, and terribly sunburned. He spots her and she flees.
That is the beginning of their adventure together. Darian is a bounty hunter on the ship looking for his target. As Tamsin becomes involved in the chase, things get hot between them even as Tamsin stumbles her way through the adventure.

Ms. Leigh did a great job in this book of writing a wonderful, interesting, likable first person narrative with a character I loved to cheer on. Darian in the right combination of hot and brooding to keep the heat sizzling between them.

I highly, highly recommend this book to everyone. It's on my favorite list.
