Hunter's Review

I loved this book. Let me start out by saying that because the next thing I’m going to say is that it is an odd story. Dedrick is a Fairy. He loves to be a fairy because he gets a lot of action. But his time as a fairy is about to end. He can either become a wood gnome, choose a mate, and breed more fairies—which is what he should do because he is royal. Only problem? He has no interest in this. If he doesn’t chose this path, he can have a life without a mate but that will mean he will be sterile and not able to reproduce.

At his friend’s bar, he gets hit on by Chloe who wants to have sex while flying with him. What follows is a hot romp through some incredible world building and fun characters. The author has created this odd setting the likes of which I have never read anywhere before. There were times I found myself going ‘huh?’ But, ultimately I loved this book and I think you will too.

Clare's Review

Eli is a watcher – a half angel half human – fighting for the right to live with the woman he loves. A human. Stripped of his powers and his wings and granted a day to make Ryden fall in love with him again, he soon realizes it’s not going to be as easy as it seems. Especially with a bounty on his head.

Ms. Nutt has written an intriguing story with never a dull moment. A relatively short story, I needed complete silence to read as it required some concentration. The first couple of pages consist of a long list of glossary terms, which I duly read. These then got repeated – with the same explanations - during the first few pages of the novel as the terms came up. The head hopping mid-scene is little disconcerting at times and another reason I ended up reading this one at 3am when the kids weren’t around. Eli and Ryden’s story is the first in a series and in a way it would have been nicer to have seen more of them, rather than concentrating on the reason Eli was banished in the first place.

Hunter's Review

Wait for the Wind is the third book in a series. I haven’t read the first two books in this series, but I will after this. It is so well written. From moment one, the tension that propels this unique story forward is palpable. Ms. Curry obviously knows how to create and keep action and romance. I was very impressed.

I did find some parts of this book confusing, having not read the first two books. But it was my own choice to pick up a story in the final part. I recommend this book to everyone but I would suggest that perhaps it might be best to start with Book 1.

Every once in a while, I encounter a book that makes me go, well frankly, ick. This is one of those books. Madria is a cat. Not a shifter. Not a Were anything. She is Antonius’ house cat. He is strangely attached to her, at least according to his friend. She disappears one night and then a naked woman arrives on his doorstep.

The naked woman informs our brilliant hero that she is also called Madria. She purrs when she sleeps. He thinks this is odd, other worldly but he likes having sex with her so he doesn’t give it much thought. They fall in love.

Yes, Antonius falls in love with his house cat in her human form. The sex scenes are well written and hot, if you can get past the ‘ick’ factor that really kept me pretty grossed out. But that might just be my stomach. People looking for something new, looking for something they won’t find elsewhere should give this book a try. It’s unique.

Hunter's Review

There are not enough good words to describe this book. I think this incredibly original take on the Arthurian legends should become a must read for all lovers of romance. The world building in this book is entirely unique. The idea is that Camelot continued after Arthur’s death and that those who remain are fighting to keep it afloat.

Enter Janne and Braeden. He is the brother of the new king—Constantine—and she is a healer who uses earth magic to make people better. Only problem? Magic is forbidden now. (There is a lot of discussion of the role magic played in Arthur’s downfall with Lancelot and the Queen.)

I highly recommend this tale and I will never forget it. If you have been searching for a story of love that has real heart and creativity, you need look no further.

Not having read the first one in the series put me at a serious disadvantage.
Finn is Fae and Diego is human. Their story began in the first book, aptly named Finn.

Diego and Finn are settling in for some down-time in Montana. Diego is away on business and Finn is left on his own. While Finn is down by the lake he hears a distressed call from a young woman. After he saves her and takes her home, Diego returns to find Finn in a situation that immediately threatens what they have accomplished together so far. Diego inadvertently sets off a chain of events which ends up finding both he and Finn trapped on the other side in the Fae world.

The author is very good at world building. I was fascinated with the politics of the Fae world, the interactions among the characters and the tension between Finn and Diego. When you add the deadly sickness on top of everything that was going on, this made for a very interesting read.

There is a wealth of twists and turns in this story and it would only help you to know what is going on if you read the first one. I strongly suggest it.

I found this book moved a little slowly for me. There is a lot of build up to the point of the book, which I don’t want to give away here. The characters are really what make this book work.

Ranger is hot and romantic. Charli is a great character who I could really get behind. The love scenes are hot. All-in-all, I think this is a good read that people will enjoy.

This love adventure for Lust and Love is intriguing. One of the demigods will be part of the ritual that will take place in order for Lexie to finally be able to be with her dream lover. That is if her dream lover is able to freely leave his immortal realm with no consequences. This is the only way possible because of how potent the God’s are in their love making. Imagine not being able to survive being touched, caressed, loved because the human flesh would not survive. WOW!

Lexie is a normal human that has taken the plunge in going to this exotic island in search of her dream lover. She has had dreams this person yet knows nothing about him but knows that if she is able to make it to paradise she will find him and finally be able to meet him face to face, if she only knew at what cost. Lexie is brave for making this big step in her life but feels compelled to. She is starting to lose hope of ever finding him since she has been in paradise and there is no sign of him. When she finally encounters one of the demigods, Lust or Love, and hears what he has to say will she stay in paradise and seek her dream lover or leave not wanting to know anything about him and his world.

Grayel is the god of the twelfth realm that has been sneaking into Lexie’s dreams and now has called her to come to paradise to finally meet. He lived a different life than the others. He lived among the mortal in a boarding school, then turning of age he was called back home. There are a couple of issues that have come up that have complicated matters, he was hoping to be at their fountain when she first come to the resort but not possible. He needs to first deal with his father and others before anything is possible, if possible. Grayel is so close to the one person that he desires but so far away because is he cannot yet even touch her, he is a god. A God will harm a mortal in form of touching but could see them in the flesh.

Lexie's first sexual encounter in paradise was amazing because she had no idea who he was or even if he existed. The solo experience was something that she did not fully comprehend on how it happened but let her puzzled and so was I. Who could it be, could it be defiance or maybe just trying to get to know Lexie. Will Grayel experience his first sight of jealousy or someone else being with the woman he intended in mating? There mating ritual well be amazing if she decides this is what she wants to do. Now if they mate just image them actually having their first passionate loving making as God and Goddess. The steamy pleasures they will experience for the first time, not in a dream actually touching each other, every inch of their bodies being explored. Amazing!

This book is interesting in seeing how Grayel was able to make is future secure with the mortal Lexie and live together in harmony. If you knew this was your last day as a human what would you like to do, well Lexie will surprise you with her choice. One more intriguing little tidbit that will definitely leave you wanting to read this book even more, their mating is the most powerful reading that will literally leave you in flames and breathless. Read you will not regret it one bit.

In this tropical paradise not all is how it would seem.

Steve did not come to paradise for vacation, but for a job he would prefer he didn't have to do if but to put some of his sister's worries to rest. Regardless of his intentions, Steve soon finds himself part of a different type of investigation, but he could no more resist the siren call upon seeing Jessamine then she could him.

Jessamine has always taken her job at the Amante Del Mar seriously. It's not as though she would have many options had it not been for the resort owner's generosity. Still she would never have thought that with all of the supernatural things going on around her, that a seemingly normal man could be her downfall.

In this second installment to the Immortal Paradise series, we learn a few more things about this mysteriously erotic resort. Just what is it that each floor of the resort represents and what kind “business” goes on between immortals and humans? It isn't clear what everything is leading to as the storyline continues, but I find myself nonetheless drawn towards this unique series as more immortal creatures are revealed. The demigods Love and Lust are not as heavily involved in this story, but the strong emotional elements they represent are no doubt felt throughout. The story is fast paced and heated in all of the right spots. Ms. Allister delivers another slightly twisted happily-ever-after that will definitely leave you looking forward to the next in the series.
