I'm Glad We Didn't Lose Sight Of This

I typed this 6 years ago. Why wasn't the Bush administration looking to kill Osama? I thought we would never get him. I'm very happy that while that ass Donald Trump was hassling our President about his birthplace, Obama was concerning himself with our primary objective in Afganistan, that being killing Osama. I like that instead of killing Osama with a drone, our President sent in the Navy Seals to kill Osama personally. The last thing Osama saw was the US soldier who put two rounds in his head. Then we drug his body our and took it with us to bury it at sea so there's no possibility of a shrine at his gravesite.
I wasn't as happy to see our citizens celebrating like the tv showed. That makes us no better than the Islamics who celebrated the 3000 deaths of 9-11. I think its a time for quiet reflection and recognition of the sacrifices of our citizens and servicepeople in the "War on Terror."
But I'll admit to having pride in our country and our military when I heard the news. And in our President who didn't lose sight of the goal line. He promised we would kill Osama bin Laden and that we did.
