The headphones look different on the specs page, new earbuds mayhaps?
Yeah, Steve said something about a new design on the standard Apple headphones

Airfoil Speakers Touch 1.0.2 is out. It restores the computer artwork. Apple finally did the right thing.
http://www.rogueamoeba.com/utm/2009/11/23/airfoil-speakers-touch-1-0-2-is-now-available/
Looks like Apple admitted it was in the wrong.

I doubt the information is accurate.
It is:
About the application the developers made:
To make it less useful for snoops, the spatial and temporal accuracy of the data has been artificially reduced. You can only animate week-by-week even though the data is timed to the second, and if you zoom in you’ll see the points are constrained to a grid, so your exact location is not revealed. The underlying database has no such constraints, unfortunately.

Hi
Been wanting this for a while. I have a windows PC just doing nothing, if I can turn it into an Airport Express like device, can have music going throughout the house.
You already can, it's called Home Sharing (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3819), which is also available on your iDevice using iOS 4.3 and later.
There are a number of AirPlay apps in the App Store that allow an iDevice to be recognized as an Apple TV, as mentioned, AirView (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/airview/id412370918?mt=8) is one of those particular apps -- and it even offers streaming from one iDevice to another, as one of the other devices is a virtual Apple TV.
Why is it that much more difficult to create an app that receives audio only AirPlay? I don't know -- but I'm not a veteran iOS app developer.
I think, with iOS now capable of being in the Home Sharing loop the demand for audio only streaming to iDevices using AirPlay -- instead of some third-party solution -- is extremely low.

These congress critters do remember that they swore an oath ... right? Something like..
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States."
Strange how gutless, worthless hypocrites on both sides of the political spectrum only do so when it's convenient to their corporate and special interest masters.. otherwise, they all seem to get off on using it like toilet paper.
These apps, and the data they distribute, are protected speech. Period. I just hope Apple has the guts to tell these schmucks to f-off.
I guess the good news is that these schmucks have already solved the energy crisis, the 2, no I'm sorry, 3, wars we're in, unemployment, the decline of the US in basic education.... They must have, to be wasting our time (yes our time, they work for us) on this BS.

You are probably new here, right?
Yes I am. And fairly new to Apple (switched to Mac in 2006 and iPhone in 2007).
Does being new here mean that I have to learn how a corporation that just recorded at record net income of $5.23 billion is "DEAD"? If so, please enlighten me.
I have worked in finance for 35 years and only hold a Bachelors degree in Buisiness, but I'm sure from your response that you (and others here) know more about business than me. So please explain how the earnings report is an indication of impeding doom.... I'm always willing to learn from a group of experts!

In that case I would love to know what happened to other half-dozen or so companies that handed out leaflets outside of their allotted "zone", or the chaps that went around spotting people who had red badges on, and handing out free USB Flash-drives to whoever they found! :D
Ok, granted, I wasn't there, so I was basing my comments on tech conferences I've attended here in the States. But those people were probably violating their terms of contract as well, and maybe MacExpo had less tolerance for GreenPeace because they had already been forewarned not to use their normal sidewalk tactics at the Convention (especially considering GreenPeace probably received their space pro-bono and thus should be expected to even more scrupulously adhere to the rules).

if samsung stops providing displays to apple, it would be the best thing ever..NO MORE YELLOW TINT ISSUES!!!
yellow tinted displays are from LG i believe. in fact i don't think samsung supplies displays for iphone/ipad/
I'm pretty sure there will countless companies willing to take on Apple as a new customer.
Willing but are they able?
Desire and Ability don't always come together.
In Korea, they even run the government through many arms.
And you think US is run by our govt? Nope, people on wall street. try again, samsung hater.

It does have CUT and Paste.
Command-X = Cut
Command-P = Paste
Command-C = Copy
Command-X is CUT !!!!!!
Now read through the rest of the posts after that and discover that Finder does not support Cut and Paste.

Just like all of the netbooks with optical drives make the MBA look bad?
Netbooks do not have optical drives. Ultraportables do.
The MBA looks good as a netbook. It looks bad as an ultraportable.
MBA and MBP are two different markets.
MBA is for people that want light. MBP is for people that want a full featured notebook.
So you want a big MBA.
If they could have the same processors, that would happen already at 13".

Surely these apps fall foul of the rule about no lasting entertainment?
They seem pointless if you're already drunk to be able to use it.

Did you see any PDA phone couldnt play video? $599 actually is a very low price. Many high-end PDA phones are selling close to $1000 even without a hard drive.
BTW, $1000 aud is $755 USD
I have to disagree on the price point.
For $1000 you can get a low level 17" iMac. Why would I want to pay that for a frikking phone?
$600 buys you a nice Mini with a dual core. Why pay that much for a phone?
The phone sweet spot is $299, with bluetooth, camera (optional), full pda capabilities, nice screen, voice command, 256 meg internal mem, 2-4 gig flash, new antenna design to pull in weak signals, open so that you can move it from carrier to carrier.
Something like that would sell like hot cakes. Not only that but it would beat a lot of the phones out there in price, usability, and coolness.

Kind of a huge gap, don'cha think? For an extra $100 I can nearly TRIPLE the capacity? Why would I even consider a 30 GB model?
Well, obviously YOU wouldn't but not everyone has an extra $100.00 bucks or feels that the extra storage is worth the cost.

What I find most interesting is that fact the Creative is joining the Made for iPod program and will be producing its own iPod accessories.
Definitely interesting......now I'll just have to remember to never buy Creative products :) I like Apple not Creative........so why support a company I do not like that sued a company I do like and got $100 million in a lawsuit over a BS patent.

I would be shocked if USB 3 came to the Mac. Jobs has already said I see Thunderbolt taking the place of USB altogether.
If they did go on and add either USB3 or blu-ray to Macs, they'd be removing it the following year, as it will become obsolete quite rapidly (maybe even more than USB 2.0).
The USB 2.0 ports will be simply be upgraded to USB 3.0 ports - count on it once the chipsets only support USB 3.0.
ThunderPort is going to be far more expensive than USB 3.0 - USB will stay king for most devices (those needing 100 MB/sec or less). ThunderPort will be a high end special purpose connector for RAID-arrays, breakout boxes, eSATA/USB 3.0 hubs, docking stations, specialized audio/video equipment.
Just like cheap, ubiquitous USB 2.0 killed 1394a and 1394b in the marketplace (and killed FW1600 and FW3200 in the womb), USB 3.0 will be fine for the tasks that most people have.

Scratch that....effing speeders who don't even have a years worth of driving under their belt and think it's safe to go 20 over

and you say you want to blow up cars obeying the law...unbelievable

What is it with the 24"? I would like to see something larger than 27 (as I have 30" already). Mini refresh would be nice - then I'd keep my 30".
They need to do it soon or people will wait for Lion before upgrading their hardware.

I think the big advantage to this downgrade will be buying clearance and refurbished Nvidia-based MBAs for 25% discounts... Unless Apple somehow fits a standard voltage SB CPU in the 13" MBA, I think most will be better off with C2D and Nvidia 320m at discounts.
Thats what I'm thinking...hoping to grab a 13 at ~1000/1100 on Amazon.
